RM Klein Consulting is a Seattle-based firm offering business planning services, retreat facilitation, and management education to owners of architecture and design firms. Rena M. Klein, FAIA, is the author of The Architect’s Guide to Small Firm Management, published by Wiley in 2010. Rena is a member of the AIA national Advisory Group for the Practice Management Knowledge Community and is co-executive editor of AIA’s Architects Handbook of Professional Practice, 15th edition, slated for release in 2013.

As an architect and experienced small firm owner, Rena brings a special understanding of design firm practice managed by entrepreneurial architects and designers. Whether you are just starting your firm, managing an established business, or preparing for retirement, Rena can help you with a variety of consulting services ranging from strategic planning to management mentoring.

Rena has a Bachelor of Architecture (1973) from the University of Oregon, is a licensed architect in Washington State, and earned a Master of Science in Management (1996) from Antioch University Seattle. She served as President of AIA Seattle in 2002-2003 and was elevated to the AIA College of Fellows in 2006.

With 20 years of experience as the owner of an architectural firm specializing in residential remodeling and custom homes, Rena M. Klein, FAIA also offers a variety of architectural services, including design consultation, expert witness services, and green building inspection.
